Dr. Smith was not only an exceptional dentist but also a dedicated public servant, having served nearly 20 years in the United States Navy after completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency.
During his military career, he traveled the world aboard two different ships, including the USS ANCHORAGE (LPD-23), where he established the ship’s dental department and led combined medical and dental operations. He continued to serve proudly in the Navy Reserves.
Dr. Smith’s skill, compassion, and commitment to patient care touched the lives of everyone who sat in his chair. He believed in empowering patients through education, ensuring they felt informed and comfortable with their dental care. His warmth, integrity, and ability to connect with people made him beloved by patients and colleagues alike.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Smith was a devoted husband to his wife, Erica, and a proud father to their three daughters and one son. He valued family above all and brought that same sense of care and dedication to our practice every day.
Dr. Smith’s legacy of service, kindness, and excellence will live on in the countless lives he impacted. He will be deeply missed by our team, our patients, and all who knew him.
